There comes a point where you’re extremely comfortable with everything in your life... I'm at the point.
I’ve been the team lead for the men’s department at a lil' store called Urban Outfitters. I love what I do, and I've become good at it. I got a phone call at work about two weeks ago from Heidi, the fashion merchandiser at the Santa Monica store, asking me if I was open to the idea of becoming her assistant. Now let me put this in perspective... the Santa Monica store is known for being...well pretty up there. It's big time over there. I was once told that not everybody can work there. You either have it or you don't. So it came as a surprise that they were calling ME! Yesterday I went over to Santa Monica to see what I’d be getting myself into. I talked to the GM for about an hour. It was pretty intense. Around 5:00 p.m. last night I was on my lunch break. Jacky and Thomas Jay came and surprised me and we had some delicious wraps together. I got a phone call from Heidi telling me…
I GOT THE JOB!!!!
I’m so scared! Even though this is a good thing, it’s still very surreal for me. Nothing will ever be the same. From here on out things are just gonna start changing. New doors will open and I’ve only just turned 20! I guess this is a good accomplishment; it’s just a lot to take in all at once.
